What this means is that while their"refurbished" units may look new when you get them, after a few hours of use in the field the characters will wear off of the keypad and the instrument cable will start to cause communication errors. But what they don't tell you is that the keypad and instrument cable are aftermarket replacements which do not match the quality of the genuine Sokkia parts.
